How To Do Hair Spa At Home

Hey Pretty Ladies!!
Happy Week Ahead J
Hair Spa is beneficial for all whether you hair is dry, frizzy, chemically treated or just dull and damaged. It is a simple and ideal hair treatment that has become very popular to have healthy and shiny hair. Most of the salons are giving this treatment but it is a bit expensive. So, the next best thing is to do it at home.

I personally prefer it doing at home. Since my hair are very curly, they always demand more hydration and moisturization. For that, I try to do some DIY hair treatments weekly or alternate weeks for sure. For spa at home, I mostly use 2 spa creams – Berina Spa cream and Loreal Spa cream. Both are very good and work well, but Loreal Spa cream gives some noticeable changes and makes my hair happy. For conditioner, I find my Loreal Absolute Repair Masque perfect – the best conditioner ever.
Ideally, a hair spa involves oil massage of the scalp, shampooing and conditioning. It starts with oiling the scalp and the hair, which is followed by shampooing. After shampooing, conditioning treatment is done. It may take around one hour for this treatment at a salon. It is sheer luxury to get this done at a salon. But, for some of us, who can’t find time for such a luxury, we can do it our self in the comfort of our homes. All we need are the right hair care products.
Doing Hair Spa At Home

What you will need –
  • Oil
  • Shampoo
  • Deep Conditioner
  • Hair Mask / Spa cream
  • Cotton Cloth/ Towel
  • Wide Toothed Comb
Step 1: Massage your hair and scalp with warm olive oil for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Take a cotton cloth or towel and soak it in warm water. Take it out and squeeze it to remove excess of water.
Step 3: Wrap the cotton cloth around your hair such that it covers your scalp and hair completely. Allow it to stay there for about 10 minutes. If possible, do this step before going to bed to get the best possible effect.

Step 4: Wash your hair thoroughly with a mild shampoo. Rinse your hair well with plenty of lukewarm water.

Step 5: Dab the excess water from hair. Make sure that you do not rub your hair vigorously with the towel. This will only rough up the hair cuticles and contribute to frizziness. Take a small amount of deep conditioner and apply it on your hair. For even application, comb out your hair, divide your hair with a wide-toothed comb into equal sections. Then, apply the conditioner or masque on those sections and leave. You can also use a natural conditioner that is suitable for your hair type. By deep conditioning your hair, you can protect your hair from frizziness and dryness. Leave the conditioner on your hair for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 6: Rinse hair to remove conditioner from hair. Pat dry with a towel to remove excess water. Next, section your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Apply the hair mask liberally over each section of hair. Make sure that each strand of hair is well-coated with the hair mask. Wrap a warm towel on your head for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Note: Do Hair Spa not more than twice a month. For oily hair, skip Step 1.
Hair Spa will do wonders to your hair, especially, if it is dull and damaged, curly or chemically treated. It can also relieve you from a wide range of hair problems. So, choose a good conditioner, spa cream and try this treatment at home and make your hair look healthy and glowing. Good Luck !!
