Heya lovelies 🙂
Wish you all a great Friday…means start of a beautiful weekend 🙂
I love eye makeup, be it eye liners or eye shadows or glitters. I love everything. After my Avon glimmersticks eyeliner in Blue finished up, I was searching for a similar one. That blue was so good, intense and non-smudging roll on pencil and affordable too. After searching something like that for quite a while, I came across this Coloressence blue eyeliner. It looked good and is inexpensive but how does it fare as an eye liner!!
Read on to know my experience with this Coloressence eyeliner pencil.
What the brand claims –
Define your eyes using this dark blue coloured eye liner pencil from Coloressence. Easy to apply, this eye pencil will give a long-lasting effect to your eyes. You can use this waterproof eye pencil for outlining or for full coverage. A sharpener comes free with this pencil.
Tips & Tricks
The best way to seal your liner is to apply an eye shadow powder on top. This adds hours to your make up & give it a bit more pop.
How to Use
Apply to the eye lid area starting from the centre working outward. Then from the inner eye blending towards the centre.
Rs. 225/- for 1.5 gms.
Comes in the same packaging as other liners of this range. But what makes it stand out is that a sharpener is also attached in the packaging, which is very convenient. It sharpens perfectly, no size issues at all.
The texture of this eye liner is quite hard. No so smooth to apply. I have to tug and pull it to apply a proper and decent line. Not that I prefer those liquids and creamy formulas over this. I like pencil forms more. But this one…I don’t like the texture at all.
My Experience with this eyeliner pencil –
I got this one with lots of expectations but failed. Why? Due to the extremely dry texture. I don’t like to put that much pressure on my lids. When I first applied it, I check the mfg date if it is an expired product. But No. Mfg date is of 10/13 and shelf life is 36 months. Also, there is no chance of duplicate product as I brought it from exclusive Coloressence store. So, that means that I am not wrong, there is something wrong with the product only 🙂.
Ohk. It has some good qualities to boast of too. Like, it has good pigmentation. After all that pressure you put, the colour comes out to be a nice deep blue on lids. As it is totally matt and literally sticks, it doesn’t smudge and is long lasting J. It is waterproof…yes. Again a good thing. And when you take it off, it goes easily with an eye makeup remover. Doesn’t trouble much on that too like some other pencil liners.
Due to its hard texture, it is a little hard to apply this liner close to lashes and waterline and contours of eyes. So a lot of area remains to be attended to after application. It becomes a little difficult.
If the consistency and texture would have been a bit creamy, it would have been a good eye liner pencil.
- Very affordable.
- Comes with a nice sharpener.
- Good deep blue colour and nice pigmentation.
- Lasts long.
- No smudging and is waterproof.
- Removes easily with eye makeup remover.
- Very hard texture wise.
- Needs a lot of tugging and pulling in applying and hence, hard to apply on contours.
Overall Rating –
I would not repurchase this again due to the pulling and tugging I have to do with this on my eyes. I am not satisfied with texture. I don’t like to put that much pressure on my lids. It is affordable and non-smudging and lasts good. You can give it a try. But try it at a store first. If you like it the consistency and texture, then only buy it!!
