Hi Pretties 🙂
Today I am here with the review of “Maybelline New York Diamond Glow by Eyestudio in shade wine pink”.
Well, I am kinda pinky girl. From my wardrobe to cosmetics, I have most things in pink color. Oh! but that stands true for most of us, girls. Even my room walls are painted pink. Sometimes I think that this color and I have some connection. Whenever I go shopping I almost get most of the things in pink. I am completely obsessed with this color and the product that I am going to review today is Maybelline diamond glow by eye studio eye shadow in wine pink that is also <PINK>.
The product says glow your eyes with luxurious pearls for an open eye look. Ready to wear eye color palette. I once used it as a body glitter powder on my back with the help of a powder brush very lightly and it worked out beautifully.
This is the only eyeshadow which has gold tint in it otherwise rest of the diamond glow eye studio quads had while silver tint. All the Maybelline eyestudio Quad have shimmery colours only in them so those who are looking for matte quads will be disappointed.
The pearly color is in maximum amount. This is because it has to be used as the base, but it can be used as the highlighter too. And the others are in equal amounts.
What the brand says:

So go ahead, play and become your own style eye-con.
The creamy eyeshadow have the most glowing diamond effect in 4 simple steps!
Available in 4 different shade eyeshadow palettes.
How it works:
Apply A on your entire eye lid and inner corner with the bigger sponge. Blend B on your medium lid with the opposite side of the bigger sponge. Blend C on lower medium lid with the smaller sponge.Use D with the opposite side of the smaller sponge to line the lash line.
Maybelline diamond glow by eye studio in wine pink comes in rectangular shape very slim box having black base and transparent top. I really liked that the top is made transparent. One can easily see the colors and can easily grab the pallet from bunch of cosmetic products while getting ready. You don’t have to open it to see the shades. There are four shades in it starting from a pearly shade to wine color via light and dark pinks. There is an applicator too with the pack.
There are directions at the back of pallet on how to use the colors to get the right look and I find this thing very good for the beginners. If you are not a professional or not good at doing eye makeup you can easily go through the instructions and get the look.
My Views on this eyeshadow quartet :
Eyeshadow do crease a bit but there is nothing much to complain when one gets four eyeshadows in Rs 375.
Staying power on oily lids is about 4-5 hours and you will need to prime your eyes before using it otherwise all colours will come out the same :).
Very smooth in application, gives a subtle look which can be worn by both mature as well as young women.
I had no issues in blending of the eyeshadow as the glitter was not chunky.
It comes with a sponge applicator which actually was good but I lost it somewhere.
One can carry this eyeshadow quad in bag while traveling especially when one is going to attend a marriage it can be quiet handy .I can easily create 3-4 simple looks with it and look different in all .
The applicator has two spongy ends, one thick and the other thin. You just need to swipe it once on the eye shadow and it takes up the right amount of product on. The thicker end is for wider application and the thinner one for doing precise detailing on the eye lid. I liked the applicator. The product and the applicator both are very soft on the eyelids. It’s a shimmery eye shadow palette. It has lot of shimmer in it ( as the name is diamond glow) . The colors are not very dark when applied on the eye .i.e. the pigmentation is OK kind. You need to do two or three coats to get bright dark shade on your eye. It’s better that you use eye shadow base first to get a more vibrant look. Overall I will say that it’s an average kind of eye shadow.
1. The packaging is classy and sophisticated
2. The applicator is nice
3. Shade combination is good. The 4 colors complement each other.
4. Small size so easily fits into my bag. Travel friendly
5. Good deal for beginners
6. The amount of shimmer is balanced in the eye shadow
1. Pigmentation is ok kind.
2. It is little chalky.
