I am late for reviewing this one, I know 😛
But these is so irresistible and unavoidable that not to share with you all, would have been bad. So, sooner or later, this had to be reviewed by me 🙂
L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Moist Matte lipsticks are nothing less than a luxury, starting from their packaging to the final product. These are a part of L’Oreal Cannes Collection and Aishwarya made the range all the more famous when she wore Lincoln Rose at Cannes Festival, all went gaga over her pout and drooling never ended.
Then L’Oreal Paris emerged as a winner brand for that wonderful red color and got praised all over. I have got 2 shades from this range. I will review Arabian Night today.
What the brand says:
Add a touch of glamour to your look with the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte range that delivers intense moisture while providing a velvet matte finish. Colour Riche Moisture Matte’s lipsticks are enriched with Jojoba oil to provide unrivaled intense luscious color in a single application.
- Jojoba Oil keep lips hydrated.
- Highly pigmented for a rich matte effect.
- Gives a smooth and silky finish.
- Easy to apply and long lasting.
It has a luxurious feel, comes in a golden bullet with a color indicator tab in front. The shade name and number are mentioned on bottom of bullet too.
Texture and pigmentation-
This shade is smooth to apply. And you get full coverage in single swipe. Though you can always built it up as per your liking. The lipstick is not very drying when being applied as its name – Moist Matte. It settles to a matte finish, while not being overly dry.
My Take on LÓreal Paris Arabian Night –
Arabian Night is a very dark, vampy shade and you need to be in right mood and setting for it. The colour is a very dark, almost black maroon but absolutely gorgeous. It looks good on all age groups and complexions. Great for Indian traditional looks as well as glam looks. There is no shimmer in this shade but pure colour.
The pigmentation is superb. The staying power is great, say full day with minimal fading, though patches are a problem with all dark colours. Hence, reapplication is also a problem. Better is to remove and apply fresh. There is no fragrance in this lipstick.
I use this shade for doing lots of mix and match as per my mood and I get various levels of shades and textures with it.
For more detailed look, I have applied this lipstick in this makeup look.
- Great pigmentation.
- Gorgeous dark blackish maroon shade.
- Suits western as well as Indian looks.
- Suits all skin tones.
- Creamy while applying but dries to a matte finish.
- Stays for long.
- Classy packaging, golden bullet with color indicating tab in front.
- No bleeding or feathering.
- It is drying over a period of time, so better to exfoliate to avoid chipping and cracking.
- Dark colours are always tricky to apply. They turn patchy easily. So, a bit of caution while applying.
If you are a fan of super darks then this one is for you. It will not let you down in terms of quality and texture, no bleeding or feathering. Just that, you should have guts to carry this shade :). Or you can always mix and match to get your shade. All in all, a great shade in itself.
