Kylie Lip Kits ring bell in ears na!!
Mine were also buzzing for longggggg. Such is my passion for lippies, that I see them everywhere, whenever a new launch is there. Now that Ritcha is a professional makeup artist, I get to buy more and more of it in her name and use it. Wow na 🙂
So, this time I got 3 of these – Posie K, Candy K, 22. These shades enticed me most. And even now, I can proudly say that I chose some of the best colors of the collection. All the 3 shades are great and look superb. Since these are lip kits, every liquid lipstick comes with its matching lip pencil which is again as good as possible. The texture of the pencil is smooth and pigmentation great.
Lets discuss these beauties in detail –
Kylie Lip Kit contains –
- 1 Matte Liquid Lipstick (3.25ml)
- 1 pencil Lip Liner (1.0gm)
This ultra-long wearing Lip Liner has a creamy texture that glides across the lips for a very easy and comfortable application. The Lip Liner sharpens easily in most standard sized sharpeners – just make sure your sharpener is not dull!
Matte Liquid Lipstick
The Matte Liquid Lipstick has high intensity pigment for an instant bold matte lip. The extremely long wearing lipstick contains moisturizing ingredients for a comfortable, emollient and silky feel that does not dry out your lips.
The packaging is classy, white outer carton which has trademark picture of Kylie lips, lipstick dripping from them, same color as of lipstick inside carton. As helpful as possible. There is a liquid lipstick and a lip pencil inside the box. The liquid lipstick comes in a plastic transparent tube that has black cap, with the same dripping pattern going towards tube from cap and Kylie printed on tube. It looks good. The lipstick comes with a doe foot applicator. See the pic –
The pencil is all black, one end is colored, that indicates the color of pencil.
My experience –
The Kylie matte lipstick is very light weight and dries up quickly to a fine matte finish. The pigmentation is great and a single swipe is enough. Apply a thin layer first, you can easily build up if you want, no patches n all. The applicator provided is good. The finish is fully matte and you may feel it drying but as compared to other liquid lipsticks, it doesn’t leave my lips dehydrated and the formula is better than many liquid lipsticks out there. It is long stay too, say full day, survives meals too, with a bit of fading from inside but not too damaging :).
Kylie pencil lip liners are equally good, as smooth as butter, precise lining and good staying power. These are so helpful in following all those lipstick tutorials :D, wherein you are expected to first line your lips properly, fill in color and then lipstick. No searching of almost matching lip liners. The kit has everything.
Kylie Matte Lip kit – 22
This shade is best described on official website as vibrant burnt orange. The shade is very universal and suits on all skin tones. It looks bit rusty orange on my wheatish complexion while a bit more bright on fair complexion, but it suits both. While all other shades have names as ‘K’ but this one is 22. Any reason, anybody knows of??
Kylie Matte Lip kit – Posie K
The shade is cool mid-tone berry, as mentioned on official website. I love this color, its my favourite out of 3. Such a beautiful pink, neither bright nor dull. Its just right shade of pink. It may be berry shade on fair complexions but on me, its just pretty pink. It goes perfectly with all outfits, day & night, with smokey eyes, just everything. It lifts my spirits – kind of shade.
Kylie Matte Lip kit – Candy K
Candy K has been described as warm pinky nude. It is a nice shade that looks awesome on lighter skin tones and can be easily pulled off by medium skin tones too, with proper makeup. In fact, it is a great n*de/ neutral shade. The best thing about this color is that it is on warm side and hence suits Indian complexions well. It is a pretty dusty rose and looks great with smokey eyes.
Though costly, I don’t regret my purchase, in fact, I love all three. My only advise is to avoid fakes, buy from official website only. There are more dupes than originals in market. Beware!!
This was a long pending review and I hope you all enjoyed it. Btw, I am soon coming up with lots of Colourpop and Limecrime reviews….yayyyyyyy 😀 🙂
