Makeup Revolution is a London based brand that has a good variety of quality products. Their products are very affordable yet quality is maintained. They have dupes of many brands and vast range of makeup palettes. All their products are cruelty free.
Now, coming to highlighters in particular..
Highlighters are a rage these days. They come in all states, be it powder, cream or liquid. Some of the high end brands have come up with their highlighter drops, say Coverfx (those I soooo love) and Iconic. But seeing the price tag, I was not able to. All thanks to Makeup Revolution, I got a feel of liquid highlighter in budget.
Makeup Revolution liquid highlighters come in a total of 7 shades which is a great variety for selection of your choice of highlight. The shades are – Rose Gold, Lustre Gold, Bronze Gold, Luminous Gold, Champagne, Unicorn Elixir and Starlight. They are vegan, cruelty free and gluten free. I chose Champagne color (golden beige), as it looked like most versatile to me for Indian complexion. And I was right!!
This Champagne metallic highlighter is described as golden beige by the brand and is light gold in colour with warm undertones. The colour champagne is perfect for indian skin tones. The highlighter is so intense and blinding that I fell in love instantly. The staying power is superb, as long lasting as possible, say whole day, with minimal fading. The finish has lots of shine and shimmer but no chunkiness or glitter and it truly satisfies the craving of highlighting.
Though some like to put liquid highlighter in base and then go for full makeup to have that sheen but I prefer using it on top. OVER THE TOP :). Foundation, powder, bronzer, blush , topped up with powder and then liquid highlighter.
See how gorgeous a drop looks!!
I got at $4.50 from Ulta.com at Buy 1, get 1 at 50% scheme on black friday sale. yayyyyyyyyyyy 😀

My Thoughts –
These are prefect dupe of Coverfx Customer Enhancer drops. Comparing the price tag, Coverfx comes at $42 while Makeup Revolution sells them at $9 and that’s a steal. Quality as well as quantity, you get everything at a fraction of price. A single drop and you are done.
If you are looking for glowy dewy face, then mix 1 drop to your foundation and apply. Wow will be your reaction!! For only highlighting purpose, apply on your cheek bone, brow bone and cupid’s bow. I have tried brushes, oval brushes, fingers but I got best results with a damp beauty blender. You can use it for body highlighting too, say collar bones, shoulders etc.
The packaging is very attractive and high end. A black golden dropper bottle. The product inside is runny but easy to control. Just apply 2-3 dots on your cheek bones and blend with damp sponge and you are all for that intense shine. GLOW. To get a more intense look, as is the trend these days, I top it up with any powder highlighter applied with a brush and there comes the full-on highlighted look which can never fail you. I adore it.
Be little cautious while using liquid highlighter over full makeup and especially Airbrush makeup as once it peeled the foundation off one of our bride when used after Airbrush and that was disastrous!! That happened only once though. Different skin types react differently to products.

Highlighter fans, you need to have this!!
